It’s the new face on the trade fair scene for 2007, and it’s already proving to be a success. Globe, the new international tourism fair in Rome, which will open its doors from March 22 to 24 in the Italian capital’s new exhibition center, is ready to become the most important gathering in the Mediterranean.

On its first outing, the fair will already cover no less than 40,000 square meters of exhibition space, representing more than one thousand companies from all over southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East and from Italy of course, the hosting country.

So, Italy is holding an international business-to-business fair for the first time. Modeled on the London and Berlin events, it aims to become the equivalent of these fairs for the Mediterranean market.

According to the organizers, more than one thousand international buyers, from 45 countries, will be guests at Globe, to buy Italy and the Mediterranean’s tourism products.

In partnership with ENIT, the Italian State Tourist Board, Globe is also hosting the Italian Art Cities Exchange, with more than 250 exhibitors showing the best that cultural tourism has to offer.
