There’s increasing anticipation for the 28th BIT -International Tourism Exchange. The event will be held in the new fieramilano exhibition center in Italy’s Milan from February 21 to 24, 2008.

With record numbers in 2007 (150,000 total visitors from 145 countries, including 108,000 trade visitors) the show strengthened its leadership as the Italian tourism capital and as one of the world’s most exciting tourism fairs, and showed once again that it is the world’s top Italian-tourism marketplace.

In nine exhibition halls with a total area of over 60,000 net sq m, BIT 2007 hosted over 5000 exhibitors from some 122 different nations. On the strength of proven results, BIT 2008 confirms its multi-target formula and opening days from Thursday to Sunday.

The Italian tourism offering is complemented by a vast choice of the best international tourism products, a panorama of the Tourism Collection, and Bit Technology, focused on the world of tourism technology.

With 46,000 pre-registrations, including 15,800 travel agents, the pre-accreditation service, too, was a great success. This service offers free admittance to trade visitors from abroad and will be available for BIT 2008.

Exceptional media coverage served to confirm BIT’s unique importance on the tourism scene: over 2,000 press articles and some 60 televised reports about the show, plus co-operation with 14 international media partners covering 54 countries.
