The International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup is coming to Grenada, along with nine other Caribbean islands, in 2007.

Matches will take place on the island from April 10 to 20 and will certainly attract a large number of visitors to Grenada.

As part of a Home Stay Program, the Grenada government has developed an initiative that encourages the people of Grenada to expand their homes in order to accommodate the abnormally large number of visitors that the island expects to welcome during the tournament.

They are offering tax and duty concessions on building and furnishings to home owners who are willing to renovate their homes for that purpose. The Home Stay Program hopes to attract a minimum of 1,000 rooms.
