Cuba’s Hemingway International Nautical Club is inviting sport anglers from everywhere to sign up for the upcoming 22nd International Blue Marlin Fishing Tournament scheduled from Sept. 20 through 25 in Havana.

Fishermen willing to come aboard their own yachts and boats will get a $15 visa upon arriving in Cuba. All anglers and their crews must have valid passports, and the owner or skipper of the boat should produce all legal ownership documents.

Once in Cuban territorial waters, vessels equipped with CB radios can contact the Hemingway Marina on VHF channels 16 or 72. The Hemingway Marina is located on 23’ 05.3 North and 82’ 30.5 West, or just a 20-minute drive from Havana’s downtown area.

“As representatives of the International Game Fish Association in Cuba, we’re very interested in making this year’s edition of the Blue Marlin Fishing Tournament a new opportunity for enhancing and strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation between the international fishing community and Cuba’s anglers community,” the Cuban Nautical Club stated in a press release.
