Havana’s Latin American Movie Festival Comes Around in December

Organizers of Havana’s Latin American Movie Festival are already trumpeting the beginning of the ten-day 26th edition for December 1.

The event’s major goal is to play and award films whose artistic values contribute to highlight the cultural heritage of Latin America and the Caribbean.

This time around, Latin American flicks will be competing in the categories of fiction, documentary, animation, feature presentation, video and short-length film. The jury will also dole out prizes to the best premiere movie, best new script and best billboard.

Attendants are scheduled to take part in meetings and seminars on different cultural topics and watch some of the most representative movies of the contemporary filmmaking industry from elsewhere.
