Fully devoted to specialized tourism –mainly to historic and cultural tours around Old Havana, a UNESCO’s Heritage of Mankind zone- the San Cristobal Travel Agency celebrated its eighth birthday last April 4 with a magnificent record of top-flight service and assorted travel packages.

Founded by travel company Habaguanex S.A. and attached to the Office of the City’s Historian –two enterprises heavily keen to the rescue of beautiful Havana- the San Cristobal Travel Agency operates with a mission to showcase this great and splendorous project to the whole wide world.

San Cristobal’s General Manager Luis Enrique Sotolongo Otero thanked “all those who have supported us every step of the way and have helped us post steadier growth and development numbers with each passing year, especially in the task of bringing tourists eager to see Old Havana.”

Mr. Otero said the company stresses in the knowledge and enjoyment of a culture-laden area in which dancing, music, religion, cigars, rum, old and modern hotels, narrow streets, houses, squares, cafés, window panes, gates, fountains, castles, palaces and fortresses are part of its daily life. “This is the story of a colonial city that cherishes the charms of yesteryear and helps foreigners figure out a Cuban population that was born out the mixture of Spaniards, Africans, Arabs, Chinamen, Frenchmen, Italians, Britons and Americans,” Mr. Otero concluded.
