“Sexual therapies are organic or psychogenic, but it’s important to recall that all psychological expression can have physiological repercussions and every organic component can have a psychological background”, Joaquin Blanco, a specialist psychologist on this kind of treatment, explains.

Consultations target both physiological and psychological elements. In the organic case, patients are taught to live with this situation and couples find new alternatives depending to the situation.

“Sexual dysfunctions bring about serious conflicts in couples, so they need a specialist to reorient them, but, when love and compression prevail, other sexual practices can compensate the situation,” the therapist explained.
