International Symposium and Workshop in Costa Rica
Costa Rica’s capital will host the First International Symposium and Workshop on International Guidelines and Standards for Building Conference Centers with a goal in mind to develop an adequate framework for the internationalization of building guidelines for conference centers and fairgrounds.
A second purpose will deal with the writing of a document containing guidelines and standards for both the design and construction of public venues fitting the category of congress, conferences, fairs, sport competitions and cultural activities, as well as outlining management regulations for these establishments and fostering world-scale exchanges among different organizations dealing with the congress and convention industry.
The event is sponsored by Venezuelan consulting company R. P. COM, Inc., the Costa Rican Association of Professional Planners of Congress and Related Events, and the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT). Other supporters are the International Fairs Association of America and the International Congress and Conventions Association.
Attendance to the event is highly recommended for planners and experts in congress and conventions from all around the globe, either on buildings or combined facilities with other features (universities, hotels, fairgrounds, conference centers, large theaters, congress palaces, and the like).
The event will provide attendants from different countries with a great setting to exchange views on the problems of marketing and operations of facilities that are either operational or still on the drawing board.
