Expeditions, adventure and discovery travel represent a fast-growing sector of the travel industry, a trend which visitors to the ITB Berlin, will experience in the “Experience Adventure” section.

The programs offered by tour operators and tourist boards from Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Lapland, Egypt, Canada, the USA, Mexico, Venezuela, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Belize, Peru, Cuba, Australia, Russia, Mali and many other countries will be sure to spark visitors’ enthusiasm for adventure.

During the trade visitor days from March 7 to 9, a meeting will be taking place to discuss “Adventure Travel – Flashpoints, Challenges and Trends”, attended by top-level international speakers, with Judith Adlhoch kicking off a colorful program of events.

Well-known as host of the TV travel show Voxtours, she will be presenting various regions around the world, and in her own role as an enthusiastic globetrotter will comment people’s experiences in the countries in question.

The program also includes teamwork coaching seminars and discussion rounds involving experts debating the medical problems that arise during expeditions, as well as an innovative trend, trips to destinations to watch an eclipse of the sun.
