Meliá Jardines del Rey Opens Earlier
The opening of Meliá Jardines del Rey was an authentic Christmas surprise, as the Cayo Coco-based, five-star all-inclusive resort was scheduled to cut the ribbon in early January. The resort teed off operations on its right wing, which features 624 rooms overlooking the swimming pool, sea and gardens.
The gastronomic offer is made up of two restaurants offering buffet service, snack bar, five a-la-carte restaurants specialized on Mediterranean, Eastern, Cuban, international and seafood cuisine, a beach thatch-roofed ranch, an ice-cream parlor and four bars.
Guests can enjoy two swimming pools, one for children and the other one offers a swim-up bar for the whole family, all that much perched on Flamenco Beach with nearly 1.2 miles of powder-thin sand and turquoise waters. In terms of entertainment, the resort gives clients a passive gaming club, sport courses, a gym, nautical facilities, day and night entertainment at the beach, swimming pools, a Central Entertainment Square and a theater. A gazebo for weddings, a convention hall, meeting halls, a children’s club, a travel desk and a car rental complement the new hotel’s deliveries.
The left wing of this great resort is set to open in May, within the framework of 2015 FITCuba International Tourism Fair, with three swimming pools, another snack bar and excellent suites overlooking the beach and gardens, for a grand total of 1,176 rooms.
Meliá Jardines del Rey, the 27th resort managed by Meliá Hotels International Cuba, is recommended for families, couples, newlyweds and honeymooners, as well as the MICE segment.
