The Fourth Mexican Tourism Investment Marketplace will take place in Mexico City’s Camino Real Hotel on September 8 and 9 this year, sponsored by the National Tourism Promotion Fund (FONATUR).

The event’s schedule includes a blue-ribbon panel on the challenges for the hotel industry, and lectures to weigh alternatives to financing, investment opportunities and travel in the Aztec nation.

Attendants will also discuss an array of applicable creative concepts as far as travel properties are concerned.

According to FONATUR, the upcoming event will give Mexico the opportunity of strengthening its stance as one of the world’s safest countries for hotel infrastructure and real-estate investment. Right now, developers from overseas have poured over $1.7 billion into several projects in the nation.

Organizers of the marketplace expect to go last year’s 700 attendants and 59 stands one better this time around. The 2003 edition wrapped up 226 commercial projects for an estimated $4.5 million.
