Mexico, Thailand and U.K. Walk out of FITUR 2005 with Top Prizes
Mexico, Thailand and Great Britain won the prize in the Best Stand Category during the Madrid International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2005) that came to a close Sunday in the Spanish capital.
Mexico´s senior PR official in Madrid, Pelayo Alonso, said the jury paid close heed to communicational and promotional actions carried out by exhibitors during the Madrid tradeshow, especially in terms of business contacts and the job conducted by news organizations.
But Mexico is planning to remain on the limelight for a little longer because it´ll be the honor guest to the upcoming edition of the Arco Art Festival, also scheduled for the Spanish capital.
This time around, the FITUR jury homed in on the professionalism of exhibitors in terms of communicational skills. “Winners were supposed to showcase all necessary information about their companies and countries,” said Juan Careaga, deputy president of FITUR´s Board of Directors. The jury also praised stand designs from a functional perspective.
