MSC Cruises Focuses on Multi-Generation Family Groups
MSC Cruises is focusing on serving multi-generational family groups. “Our cruises are a great way for multi-generational families to travel together. With our ‘kids sail free’ program, it’s a budget-conscious choice for parents and grandparents to spend quality time with their children and/or grandchildren,” said Richard E. Sasso, president and CEO of MSC Cruises USA.
Kids 17 and younger not only sail free, but also can participate in MSC’s complimentary Kids Clubs. Activities designed to be fun and educational are found throughout the Kid Zones featuring waterslides, play areas, video arcade and more. Kids can get food favorites such as pizza, pasta and cheeseburgers.
In addition to entertainment for kids and teens, there are activities for the entire family such as miniature golf, swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball and shuffleboard. There’s also an Internet Cafe, card room, library and outdoor cinema.
For adults, there’s a spa, casino, several restaurants and a number of bars and lounges. MSC Cruises’ 10 ships also will work to accommodate special dinners and get-togethers for everyone as well as programs, shore excursions and activities to suit the group or individual family members.
A highlight of MSC Cruises’ multi-generational family cruise programs is that children 17 and under sail free when sharing a stateroom with two adults paying full fare. Family groups earn “music points” based on the length of cruise, departure date and destination of the cruise. They can be used to provide complimentary shipboard credits, events and other services and amenities.
