Over a Dozen Nations to Attend Cuba’s Transportation Fair

Companies from seventeen countries have confirmed their attendance to the Eighth International Transportation Fair (FIT 2004) scheduled from September 22 to 25 at EXPOCUBA Fairgrounds in the outskirts of Havana.

Germany, Argentina, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, China, Spain, France. Italy, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Panama, Russia, Sweden and Cuba will be the participating nations.

The tradeshow’s agenda includes round tables, master lectures, business meetings, presentations of new products and services, and the signing of contracts.

Angel Garate, president of the Organizing Committee, underscored that the event will come around as a perfect opportunity for exchanging information and experiences about the industry.

“This will not only be a an exhibit of the Transportation Ministry, but also of other industries that rely heavily on transport means, such as tourism, the sugar industry and agriculture, among other sectors,” Mr. Garate explained.

Such topics as vehicle inspections and security, maritime safety, railroads, audits and comprehensive corporate logistics will also be discussed during the weeklong event.
