Over Two Dozen Nations Attended El Salvador International Fair
With a final tally of 27 countries from the Americas, Europe and Asia, the 21st edition of the El Salvador International Fair (FIES is the Spanish acronym) came to a successful close after gathering some 380 companies that showcased their products and embarked on numerous negotiations.
Attendants to the fair that ended last Sunday could take part in three business rounds aimed at making promotions and forging trade alliances.
The participating nations to this year’s tradeshow in El Salvador, in addition to the host country, were Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, United States, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Israel and Japan.
Most companies in this event were linked to such sectors as food processing, handicraft, fabrics, farming, industries, machinery, building, electronics, office items and tourism.
The past edition of FIES took place on October 2002 with roughly twenty nations and as many as 25,000 visitors walking past the turnstiles.
