Panama to Host the Second Central America Travel Market

Panama will be home to the second edition of the Central America Travel Market, scheduled from October 9 to 11 at the Atlapa Conference Center in Panama City, the Madrid-based Central American Travel Agency (CAT) informed this week.

The Central America Travel Market is fully supported by the region´s private and public sectors in an effort to beef up trade ties between travel companies and tour operators from the major outbound markets.

The event will be attended by tour operators, airlines, hotel chains, journalists and senior officials from national tourism departments and agencies.

During the tradeshow´s first edition held in Guatemala in October 2004, some 110 exhibitors from the region´s main companies and over 200 international tour operators attended. The event received extensive news coverage in some of the world´s top media organizations.
