Paraguay to hold tourism international fair
The International Tourism Fair (ITF) will take place in Paraguay with an anticipated massive turnout of organizations related to the MERCOSUR and the rest of the region, though a definitive date is yet to be determined, sources close to the organizing committee explained.
The country’s National Tourism Office (SENATUR is the acronym in Spanish) and the Paraguayan Touring and Automobile Club (PTAC) pledged to plan and organize the event on the heels of an cooperation agreement signed among a number of agencies in December.
Paraguay’s tourism minister Evanhy Troche de Gallegos, informed the very first joint activity to be held within the framework of the fair will be centered on highlighting the nation’s travel resources with a view to develop new-fangled marketing attractions.
A working group formed by the Paraguayan Ministry of Tourism and the National Travel and Tourism Office will be charged with the presentation of the country’s new natural and cultural attractions, as well as the promotion and advertisement of those products in a joint effort aimed at gaining marketing momentum in the private sector.
“In order to comply with that agreement, the parties will have the mission of designating their own representatives to execute specific parts of it, in line with the approved provisions and the nature of the actions to be implemented,” Mrs. Troche de Gallegos concluded.
