Paraguay is the cheapest travel destination for euro-wielding German tourists, followed by Egypt, India and Argentina, according to a report issued by the Federal Statistics Agency this week.

Paraguay is also the country that provides the best purchasing power for travelers of the Euro Zone, with a national currency exchange rate of € 1.68 for every guarani.

In Egypt, Indian and Argentina, tourists get 45 to 60 percent more for their euros. The agency’s poll included similar assessments in 93 countries around the world.

Japan and the Scandinavian nations are on the flip side of the coin, ranking as the two priciest regions for German and European vacationers.
