The island where happiness lives will turn into the island where music lives this Columbus Day weekend 2005, as Aruba gears up to host some of the biggest music names in the world at the Fourth Annual Aruba Music Festival.

Aruba will welcome world-renowned musician Peter Frampton (October 7) and famous rock legends Queen plus Paul Rodgers (October 8) as the island turns into a rock and roll paradise.

For over three decades, Peter Frampton has been a rock and roll icon. Frampton, one of the biggest arena rock stars of the 1970s with his distinctive guitar playing skills, has sold millions of records worldwide. With the explosion of the Frampton Comes Alive double-LP set recorded at San Francisco´s Winterland in 1975, Frampton became a worldwide smash hit being named by Rolling Stone magazine, Artist of the Year.

Frampton Comes Alive rocketed to the top of the charts and stayed there for a whopping 10 weeks, the album remained on the charts for over two years and sold over 16 million copies, to become the most popular live album yet released. Hits that spawned from that album include classics such as “Baby, I Love Your Way,” “Do You Feel Like We Do,” and ”Show Me The Way.”

One of world´s most formidable musical forces, Queen, brings a fresh addition to its lineup, with one of rock´s most respected singer-songwriters, Paul Rodgers, formerly of Free, Bad Company and The Firm.

For over three decades, Queen has been renowned as one of the most famous bands in the world for its over-the-top stage shows and, more importantly, its legendary rock mega hits. A bona-fide music legend, some of Queen´s most notable songs include ”Bohemian Rhapsody,” Somebody To Love,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “Under Pressure,” and the consummate arena anthem, “We Are the Champions/We Will Rock You.”

Each year the Aruba Music Festival serves up a weekend of world-class music and, of course, the added bonus of unmatched sun and fun on Aruba´s famous white-sand shores. The Aruba Music Festival, now in its fourth year, continues to grow in popularity and international fame and this year´s unbelievable lineup is sure to satisfy music aficionados of all ages.
