Planet Hollywood to Reflag Resort in St. Maarten

Sunwing Travel Group, which purchased the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort in St. Maarten last September, will reopen the property as a Planet Hollywood in the second quarter of 2019, said Cornelius de Weever, St. Maarten's acting minister of tourism.
The Planet Hollywood will be an all-inclusive resort. The Sonesta, obliterated by Hurricane Irma last September, is currently undergoing demolition. Construction of the Planet Hollywood will start this fall.
Facilities will include 450 guestrooms, five restaurants, a casino, a beach club and a spa.
