Potential Attendants to DATE 2005 Are Summoned
The National Hotel & Restaurant Association of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES) and the Tourism Promotion Council (CPT) are making preparations for the upcoming sixth edition of the Dominican Annual Travel Exchange (DATE), scheduled to unfold from April 6 to 8 at the Intercontinental V Centenario Hotel in Santo Domingo.
DATE operates as a network to foster meetings between buyers and salespeople through a prearranged appointment format that guarantees attendance of those interested in signing up for the event, not to mention the fact that it maxes out its possibilities.
Wholesalers, tour operators, travel agents, incentive centers, airlines, charter flight operators and hoteliers from around the world come to DATE every year. During the 2004 edition, the turnout tallied 350 purchasers and providers.
In addition, representatives from some of the region´s top publications get a chance to interact among themselves, as well as with buyers and salespeople. DATE planners are working jointly with the Caribbean Hotel Association to arrange all appointments for attendants beforehand.
Besides business appointments, delegates will have the opportunity of huddling with members of the local and international press. Over two dozen news organizations from the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico and South America have already confirmed their attendance to DATE 2005.
Applicants need to click on www.drdate.net or ask for an application form at the headquarters of the Caribbean Hotel Association in Puerto Rico (phone number (787)-725-9139) or by sending an email to pperez@caribbeanhotels.org.
