Preparations for “Dutch Caribbean Meets Europe” Running on all Six
People from nearly all European nations will huddle from April 24 to 28 at the Maho Beach Resort & Casino tourist compound in St. Maarten to catch the Dutch Caribbean Meets Europe (DCME) event.
The DCME is a biannual meeting whose two previous editions brought together marketing and product development experts, tour operators and airline execs from Europe. Tourist representatives from Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland have taken part in the first two versions.
This year’s DCME includes interactive sessions featuring discussions and analyses of all aspects linked to the Dutch Caribbean, embracing the islands of Saba/St. Eustatius, St. Maarten, Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao.
At the same time, the sessions will tackle such major issues as marketing and sales, and will furnish ample information on the travel industry and social events, let alone provide plentiful chances for contacts among managers from big and mid-size companies. The DCME also eases encounters among purchasers and tourist product providers.
Since the DCME will coincide with SMART –a fair bent on the promotion of nine of the charming inland nations in northeastern Caribbean- experts believe that attending the DCME this time around could turn out to be twice as much more useful and valuable.
Organizers have planned to give attendants the possibility of taking tours to destinations other than St. Maarten, like Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saba and St. Eustatius.
