Preparations for BIT Peru 2006 Going at Full Throttle

Peruvian tourism officials are stepping up preparations for the sixth edition of the Latin American Travel Trade Mart, slated to take place in Lima, the South American nation´s capital.

The main objective of this event is to promote Peru and Latin America among tourism professionals from both the turf and the entire world.

According to the event´s planners, as many as 121 buyers and foreign visitors from Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, United States, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela have confirmed their participation.

These professionals will have a chance to contact and conduct business with Peruvian and Latin American exhibitors expected to attend this year´s event.

At the same time, a dozen specialized journalists have registered tol cover this travel powwow and participate in a press tour to the destinations of Puno and Taquile.
