The Organizing Committee of the International Ecuadorian Tourism Fair (FITE 2005) has just wrapped up the third preparatory meeting to tie up possible loose ends as far as organization, logistics and attendance are concerned. The fair will take place in Guayaquil from September 22 to 25.

According to a press release sent to Caribbean News Digital´s editorial staff, current preparations are covering all expectations in terms of attendance and potential results. Planners hope to welcome record highs of buyers, professionals, news media, lecturers, folkloric performers, photographers and other participants.

There´ll be attendants from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania. “We´re expecting to receive 300 participants from those world regions who could do complementary FAM trips all across Ecuador from September 19 to 30,” the press release indicates.

“At the same time, wholesalers, tour operators and international travel agencies will organize a Business Round Table as buyers, thus having access to Ecuador´s stock of tourist offers and reckoning how many visitors they could come up with in the short and long run,” the document underlines.

FITE 2005 has so far been active in some of the planet´s premier travel tradeshows and fairs, like Colombia´s ANATO, Berlin´s ITB and the BTC in the Dominican Republic.

One more tryout ground prior to the unfolding of FITE 2005 will be its presence in the Caribbean Travel Marketplace and Catalonia´s International Tourism Hall to be held in Barcelona under a slogan reading “Ecuador: Tourism, Commerce, Handicrafts and Culture.”
