Productions Culled by Artex’s Bis Music Record Label Nominated to Cubadisco 2015

Forty albums produced by Bis Music, Artex’s record company, have been nominated to Cubadisco 2015, the most important international show of Cuba’s recording industry.
According to Saharait Tardio, Marketing and PR specialist with Bis Music, they’ve seen this year the highest number of Artex-related albums nominated to Cubadisco.
The list of nominees includes Palabras by young singer and songwriter Haydee Milanes. The album is made up of 14 songs that were authored by songwriter Marta Valdes, with musical arrangements by Milanes herself. It has been nominated in Song Catalogue and Record Notes categories. On the other hand, the audiovisual material that stands for Cancion Facil, produced by outstanding Cuban moviemaker Fernando Perez, was nominated in Video Clip category.
Si te Hago Cancion is the second album produced by Cuban singer-songwriter Adrian Berazain and it was nominated in Design and Trova-Pop-Rock categories. In this album, which is more reflexive and daring than his previous work, Bera, as he is also known, counted on the collaboration of Cuban singers David Blanco, Dianela de la Portilla and Leoni Torres. The clip that promotes Oshun, produced by Omar Leyva and Berazaín, was also included in the list of Video Clip nominees.

Among the proposals for the Special Award we have: Cancion de Otoño, Eterno Formell and Indefinidas Confesiones.
Cancion de Otoño is the result of a musical project between Pablo Milanes and Cuban pianist, songwriter and musician Jose Maria Vitier. The album is made up of 14 songs, some of which were authored by Vitier, and there are musicalized poems of Gabriela Mistral, Federico Garcia Lorca, Jose Marti, Fina Garcia Marruz and Ruben Dario.
Eterno Formell is a compilation of songs written by Juan Formell for Van Van. It’s a tribute to the successful career of this musician, so several Cuban artists performed songs that were immortalized by Van Van.
Eterno Formellwas given an extraordinary prize before the grand fiesta of the record realm in Cuba. With this award, Cubadisco recognized the musical legacy of the founder of Van Van and paid homage to the maestro in the first anniversary of his passing, on May 1, 2014.
Indefinidas Confesiones gathers 19 love poems written by Antonio Guerrero, a Hero of the Republic of Cuba. Some of these poems are recited by Ibrahin Friol, who also introduces the album, and they have been musicalized by Cuban troubadour Augusto Blanca, with arrangements by Emilio Vega and Pepe Ordas. The cover shows one of Guerrero’s drawings and reads “Life stopped when I kissed you”.
