Record Number of Tourists Visited Las Vegas in March

The Las Vegas Valley had attracted an overwhelming number of 3.7 million tourists last month, as per the records of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
The tally of last month marks a 1.4 percent rise in the number of visitors arriving here in March 2016. The figures had slumped by less than 50,000 visitors of the Last Vegas record monthly high of as much as 3,827,636 from July 2016, according to Maria Phelan, the spokeswoman of Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Phelan feels that the increased visitor numbers can be attributed to the return of the ConExpo-Con/Agg trade show.
This trade event had lured more than 130,000 industry professionals to the valley between 4th and 9th March.
The total convention attendance for the month was almost 758,000 that mark a 13.3 percent increase since last March and 19 percent increase since February 2017.
Over 4.2 million passengers had travelled through McCarran International Airport last month, as per an authority release. Clark County ad generated $857.4 million in terms of gaming revenue for the month.
Mesquite as well as Laughlin that represent the two neighbouring regions has also been examined by the authority that witnessed increases in tourism for the month of March as well. The visitor count of Laughlin of 178,421 saw an increase of 1.2 percent from last March and 14.8 percent jump from February 2017.
And, Mesquite’s 138,779 tourists had marked a 4 percent rise from March 2016 and 25.5 percent increase from February 2017.
