Regional Travel, Tourism Fair to Take Place in Tanzania
The first ever travel and tourism exhibition for the Eastern African region is to take place in Tanzania´s northern tourist city of Arusha early in June.
Registered as “Karibu Travel and Tourism Fair,” the regional tourism exhibition has been organized by Tanzanian government for the first time this year, taking over from the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO).
Now under the coordination of the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), Karibu Travel and Tourism Fair will be the biggest regional travel and tourism forum, expected to bring together tourism key players from Eastern, Central and Southern Africa to showcase their products and services.
Tanzania Tourist Board´s managing director Mr. Peter Mwenguo said the fair will be the first of its kind in Africa which brings together public and private stakeholders in tourism marketing and development.
It is expected that more than 6,000 visitors, mainly travel trade players will visit the fair grounds during the three-day event to take place between June 2 and 4 this year, Mr. Mwenguo said.
Participants ranging from tour operators, providers of accommodation facilities, air operators, adventure safari outfitters, manufacturers of travel products and small scale providers of travel trade products have been invited to show their products and services.
