Q- What´s your latest professional challenge?

A- Well, fortunately, I´m at the helm of my own project, my own company, the Travel & Marketing Group, which is an enterprise inserted within the Caribbean travel industry and headquartered in the Dominican Republic. We´ve got very good and important allies for the advance of businesses to and from the Dominican Republic.

Travel & Marketing is first of all a consulting company dealing with marketing strategies and sale programs. On the other hand, it also represents enterprises involved in the promotion of international golf tournaments through an affiliated trademark called Golf & Green. Travel & Marketing is the major shareholder of Munditurs, a firm that represents Italy´s Costa Cruises and Eurobeats, among other companies, in the Dominican Republic.

Q- You got this company going in 2004, didn´t you?

A- That´s right. We launched Travel & Marketing Group to the world market on July 2004 by relying on all of our previous contacts, because we had already been working on some immediate projects, like the Long Drive Golf Championship´s qualifying tournament for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Q- What countries do you have offices in?

A- For the time being, our headquarters are in Santo Domingo, but we´ve opened offices in Puerto Rico´s San Juan and Mexico´s Monterrey, as well as in Argentina and New York City.

Q- What about the European market?

A- We haven´t entered the European market yet, but there´re plans in the offing to set up shop in Italy and the U.K.

Q- What´s the most important customer you´ve got?

A- There´s no doubt our main customer right now is EMI. And we represent this firm through EMI Resource.

Q- Where are your hotels?

A- We´ve got some hotel and real estate businesses of our own up in the northern side of the Dominican Republic, exactly in Cofresi Beach.

Q- What´s your business volume in figures?

A- At Travel & Marketing Group, we´re juggling a budget of little more than $3 million for marketing efforts with a number of customers. We hope to break a steady growth stride, and at least in the near future, double those budget appropriations in the course of three years.

Q- Are you linked in any way to the Coral Group?

A- We´re bonded to them through their interests in the Guava Berry Golf & Country Club. We´ve got ties with them with a view to sketch out a future international marketing strategy.
