Ritz-Carlton to Operate St. Lucia Resort

Ritz-Carlton will operate a 180-room resort on the southern tip of St. Lucia due to open in 2021.

The resort will be on the southwest coast of the island, near the twin Piton volcano spires, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and St. Lucia's signature attraction.

The Ritz-Carlton St. Lucia will anchor the Black Bay project, which calls for villas as well as the hotel to be built on a 180-acre tract.

Dubai-based Range Developments is Black Bay's developer. The company has two other Caribbean projects: the Park Hyatt St. Kitts (due to open in November) and the Cabrits Resort Kempinski in Dominica.

Ritz-Carlton has six resorts in the Caribbean in Aruba, the Cayman Islands, Cancun, Puerto Rico (two) and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
