The CEO of Sandals and Beaches Resorts, Adam Stewart, was recognized as Jamaica’s Hotelier of the Year. At 34, Adam is the youngest person to have ever won this award, presented by the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association.

Upon accepting the award from Jamaica Minister of Tourism and Entertainment Dr. Wykeham McNeill and Director of Tourism Paul Pennicook, Stewart said he was inspired by Jamaica, the quality of its tourism product and the people he works with.  “So many of us here, we work together, we do business together we are friends, we are family," said Stewart.

Ironically, 34 is not only Adam’s age, but also the age of Sandals Resorts, which opened its first resort in Jamaica in 1981 – 34 looks good on Sandals! With 20 resorts in the Sandals Resorts International portfolio, Adam has got his work cut out for him to live up to this grand title.
