Secrets Cap Cana Opens in Dominican Republic

AMResorts expanded its footprint in the Dominican Republic with a grand opening celebration of the Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa, its second Secrets property and the 15th in its brand portfolio in the destination.

The 457-room, adults-only resort, which represents an investment of $160 million and the creation of 650 jobs, is located in the gated community of Cap Cana along Juanillo Beach.

Facilities include seven a la carte restaurants, six bars, a nightclub, an infinity pool, a number of bungalow-styled suites with private pools and the Secrets Spa by Pevonia.

Dominican Republic president Danilo Medina, who presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony, reminded guests that "tourism is our country's strongest industry and an economic engine for job creation and well-being."
