South American Tourism Meeting gets the thumbs up

The South American Tourism Meeting, held last Thursday to Sunday in Caracas, Venezuela, with a turnout of authorities and execs from the industry’s private, public and mixed sectors, provided a big boost to the region’s economic development, Venezuelan tourism vice minister Filmar Castro expressed.

The gathering was outlined under the general purpose of giving the South American tourist industry a mighty leg up with an aim to beef up the activity within each and every country, Mr. Castro said as he predicted that global tourism will surely stage a comeback in the face of the ongoing “troublesome” situation.

The powwow was held through negotiation rounds scheduled to stir up the flow of contacts and bargaining between South American tour operators and tourist wholesalers.
