Spain´s OSA Alliance to Hold Congress in Cuba

OSA Alliance, an organization that unites Spanish travel agencies, is holding its second congress in Cuba with the participation of 150 travel agents from Latin America.

According to the event´s planners, the conclave will take place in the travel circuit of Guardalavaca, in the eastern Cuban province of Holguin.

The working agenda foresees overall sale assessments through 2004 and the merging of Over, Star and Avantours groups into the OSA Alliance.

Among the VIPs attending the congress, Agustin Lamana of the Star Group, Avantours President German Lopez Guitian, Over President Jesus Ripoli, and Over representatives in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela will be some of the boldface names.

Mr. Lamana told Caribbean News Digital the congress is sponsored by the OSA Alliance with the support of Cuba´s Tourism Ministry, Cubana de Aviacion Airline and the island nation´s Sol y Son Travel Agency.

Several attendants to the Second OSA Alliance Congress have already appointed talks with local authorities from the Tourism Ministry. The Over Group is based in Barcelona, while the Star and Avantours groups are headquartered in Madrid and Valencia, respectively.
