St. Kitts & Nevis Zeroes in on Cricket World Cup

The countdown is on! It´s now less than one year before St. Kitts & Nevis hosts one of the first round groups for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007.

The St. Kitts & Nevis group matches will be played at Warner Park Stadium on St. Kitts from March 14 to 24, 2007, featuring South Africa, Scotland, Holland and the reigning World Cup champions from Australia.

The twin island Federation is preparing and building momentum for this competition with the completion of refurbishments and increased seating capacity at Warner Park Stadium in April 2006 and by hosting several competitions leading up to the ICC Event.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 is one of the world´s largest and most prestigious sporting events and this is the first time ever that this event will be held in the West Indies.

The competition is expected to draw a potential global audience of 1.5 billion people worldwide to watch a total of 16 teams compete over a 47-day period in eight participating countries including St. Kitts & Nevis.
