St. Lucia to Host Caribbean Media Exchange
The Sixth Caribbean Media Exchange on Sustainable Tourism (CMEx) will unfold from June 24 to 28 in St. Lucia, according to a confirmation made by Counterpart International, the event’s top organizer.
The St. Lucia conference will be a follow-up to the previous five meetings that got cracking for the first time on October 2001 with the intention of gathering press professionals specialized in the realm of tourism. The other media exchanges were held in the Bahamas, Barbados and Jamaica.
Organizers of the Caribbean Media Exchange will soon powwow in Castries, the capital of St. Lucia, to piece together the working agenda and debates for the upcoming meeting. The Fifth CMEx that took place last December in Barbados, homed in on Tourism and Media: The Next Generation.
One of the gathering’s highlights will come a week earlier with the congratulations to Berthia Parle, a hotel entrepreneur from St. Lucia, who will take over as president of the Caribbean Hotel Association in a ceremony scheduled for Puerto Rico’s San Juan.
