Third Edition of the Aruba Jazz Music Festival in Aruba Coming up
The Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival is prepared - once again - to present a first-class music event with an excellent line up for September 4 and 5. Expect for international, regional, and national artists of supreme standard at this one of a kind jazz fiesta in Aruba! The success of the first two editions was mainly thanks to a number of organizations and the public in Aruba who made it all possible.
The Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival, described as “a virtuoso inspiring experience”, has something Latin & western and something New & Old World combined, of great-assorted significance and for all ages. This is a jazz festival with an innovative program for those who know and a mixture of jazz for those who want to find out.
It is jam-packed with world renown artists, a couple of artists that previously visited and performed on the island were Michel Camilo, Randal Corsen, Praful, Yuri Honing, Moon Baker, The Ploctones, Cubop City Big Band, and many more, from salsa, jazz to rock and even hip-hop.
A variation of arts is also present during the festival, like street theatre, local artists presenting their theme related art in the Expo, and personalities such as Mr. Shadow, next to the scent of the Caribbean Sea. Each year workshops is a great way to encourage youngsters to study music and develop their artistic side.
Right now, we have a list of confirmed Aruban artists, like Sonic Lab 297, Soul Cowboy, Frankie Yanga, El Prove, Antonio Bello, Bilongos, Muziek school bigband Aruba and Delbert Bernabela. The definite line-up for the Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival 2009 will be announced soon.
