Third Vallarta Golf Cup Coming Up This Month

The Third Vallarta Golf Cup will take place from November 12 to 14 at the golf courses of the Mayan Palace and Vista Vallarta resorts in Mexico. The latter –designed by Jack Nicklaus- was home to the World Golf EMC2 Cup on December 2002.

Organizers have invited the top 128 golfers of the world ranking to join the 32 teams that will take part in this prestigious event.

Professional and amateur golfers from both sexes, coming from Mexico and elsewhere, could sign up for the event as long as they can validate their handicaps (for amateurs only), either by showing an e-card or their GHIN cards issued by their respective clubs. The Vallarta Cup’s organizing committee reserves the right to check out handicap validations.

The competition will be conducted under the USGA rules and in keeping with ground rules for local courses outfitted with non-normal conditions. A judge picked by the players will be empowered to enforce the rules. All calls made by the judge will not be rebutted.

The event’s organizing committee is formed by Luis Angarita, Jose Carranza, Fernando Cuevas, Joe Johnston, Mario Nunez, Antonio Palacio and Maurizio Pellegrini.
