Top Tourism Fair in Mexico, Latin America Comes to a Close

A turnout of over a thousand tour operators, tourism companies, airline representatives and travel agents from some twenty countries, more than 2,000 national providers and representatives from nearly 700 Mexican firms wrapped up Mexico’s Travel Marketplace in Acapulco.

The region’s number-one leisure industry tradeshow also brought together the Mexican states of Guerrero, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, Campeche, Baja California, Quintana Roo, Michoacan, Chiapas, Morelos and the Federal District.

For the first time ever, buyers from Asia and some of Europe’s premier purchasers showed up at the fair, alongside a group of 300 journalists.

The 29th edition of the Tourism Marketplace offered countless opportunities for business contacts among international purchasers and service providers from the turf. The event was likewise marked by an ample program of lectures, exhibits, workshops and seminars on a number of topics.

Authorities from the industry are bent on boosting the promotion of destinations, products and services, and making their operations far more efficient in well-developed spots and other fledgling locations throughout the nation.

The promotional strategy for Mexico’s leisure industry is based on a series of top principles that include beach, business, recreation, adventure and new products.
