Transtur S.A., Cuba’s tourist transportation enterprise, recently summoned for the 2nd Meeting of Tourist Transportation Entities and Experts scheduled to be held from May 2 to 3 this year in Havana.

During the organizing committee’s first meeting, Transtur director Evidio Rodriguez Lopez assessed the outcomes of the previous event that took place two years ago within the framework of the Tourism Convention.

Mr. Lopez broached the objectives for this second edition and stressed on the fact that despite Transtur’s meeting notice, “all national entities and experts have an ax to grind here, especially those linked to tourist transportation that are also being summoned today.”

As far as the meeting’s scientific program is concerned, Mr. Lopez went on to say that attendants will present paper works and lectures, alongside posters dealing with as many as ten different topics.

Some of the companies boosting the event and its promotion overseas are Finauto International –official dealer of KIA vehicles in Cuba- and Caribbean Diving. Besides close collaboration ties between these two enterprises, they have also put together a merger to help with the event’s promotion and advertisement.

Travel agency Caribbean Diving Center LTD will focus on the meeting’s marketing. Moreover, Finauto International has provided Transtur with 350 new KIA cars to engross the fleet of Cuba-based dealer Rent-A-Car. Some of the makes joining the company’s stock are KIA Carnival, Rio, Carens, Optima, 4x4 Sportage (diesel and gas jeeps), Pregio vans and the spanking-new Sorento sedan.
