Travel Agents of Color to Hold Conference, Offer Free Listing in Directory
The Travel Professionals of Color (TPOC) in the U.S. will hold on April 27 through May 1 what it calls a one of a kind multi-cultural travel conference at the Adams Mark Hotel in Denver, Colorado, primarily focused on how to reach four markets: African Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans, and Hispanics.
Suppliers and Vendors interested in reaching minority travel agents and their clients have been invited to purchase a booth at this trade show that will gather over 200 agents.
Aimed to discuss how to conduct business, both industry and non-industry speakers will present keynote addresses, conduct informative workshops and seminars.
A variety of workshops are planned to address topics such as marketing and selling to minority communities; learning about favorite destinations for the minority travel; maximizing public/media
relations--sales techniques for TV, radio and print; group travel, and financial accountability.
Focus will also be given to how to start your own travel business and how to earn more profits in your travel business.
One of the highlights of the conference will be the release of the second edition of the “Minority Travel Agents” Directory, which is a complimentary directory listing offered to minority travel agents and includes 700 of them.
