Preparations are underway at white-heat pace for the upcoming tenth edition of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference (CHTIC 2006), scheduled to be held at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel in Bermuda from April 4 to 6 this year.

The two-day confab is organized by the Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA), in conjunction with the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and Burba Hotel Network (BHN).

In its decade-long tradition, CHTIC 2006 will bring together specialists from the international finance, development, and tourism fields.

Professional sessions will address hot topics such as timeshare and fractional deals, win-win development projects, private label resorts, condo hotels, the acquisitions marketplace, private residence clubs and destination clubs, the debt capital markets, the mixed-use project, and the Caribbean resort of the future.

CHTIC has the specific objectives of improving the tourism investment and operating climate across the region, making the investment community aware of the development opportunities available in the Caribbean, and stimulating a continuing flow of both equity and loan capital into the region.
