Travelocity Makes “ExperienceFinder” More Accessible
Travelocity’s ExperienceFinder, its vacation planning tool that allows visual exploration of 28 destinations, is now easier to access thanks to the new “Plan My Trip” tab recently introduced to Travelocity’s homepage. Additionally, several other enhancements have been made to the ExperienceFinder trip planning tool that give travelers more information when planning their dream vacation.
For example, travelers can now find an annual events calendar for each destination, under “Plan With Tools.” When clicking on a specific event, the user will get details such as when and where the event is taking place, the cost to attend, operating hours, a contact number and the website.
There are also helpful “Did You Know?” bullets to give visitors access to insider destination information. Also new to ExperienceFinder is access to Travelocity and IgoUgo hotel and activity reviews, written by travelers, for travelers.
When looking at a list of hotel options, the user can glance at the overall community rating given to that property. For more details, the user can click on a specific hotel to read all the reviews of that property.
Other recent vacation planning enhancements to the ExperienceFinder tool include the ability to organize a trip using an interactive map to shop for hotels and activities, new sorting features, and the ability to pass saved activities to checkout.
When it’s time to book, customers just choose their hotel and Travelocity integrates them into one seamless checkout. Photos, slideshows and videos are now all in one application with new sorting options and a full-screen viewer. Redesigned detail pages showcase the hotel or activity with in depth editorial, galleries, maps, and more.
