TUI’s Benefits Soar to New Record Highs
TUI, the Germany-based tour operator, informed Friday that its Tourism Division snapped up €720 million worth of benefits in the first three quarters of the ongoing year, up a whopping 36.7 percent from the first nine months of 2003.
The company’s front office says the good outcomes stem from a feverish summertime travel season that yielded over €10.5 billion in revenue.
As to business volume, TUI raked in €442.8 million, the result of 11.5 and 9.6 percent hikes in sales in receptive tourism and the North European markets, respectively.
Despite these good three-quarter numbers put on the board by the Tourism Division, the German company’s overall sales took a 21 percent nosedive compared to the first nine months of 2003. Consolidated sales, for their part, closed at nearly €14.3 billion for a 7.2 percent decline.
