Unruly British Tourists Blacklisted by Ibiza Hotel

They are keen to share information on troublemakers so that they can be recognized and disqualified.

This initiation would be akin to an already functioning scheme in the neighboring Mallorcan resorts of Magaluf and Palma Nova.

The names, nationalities, passport or ID numbers of tourist who were driven out are being circulating among hotels on Mallorca. As per the statistics, more than 47 visitors were requested to leave their hotels in July. Of them, 94 percent were British.

Juanjo Planells, head of the hotel association in the Ibiza party resort of San Antonio explained that he was “studying the initiative”.

He said: “It’s a very good measure. We have guests whose behavior leaves a lot to be desired.

“There should be a way of identifying people who only come to Ibiza to misbehave, destroy things, and don’t respect anything.”

He said this after a British tourist fell through the skylight of the 13-storey Tanit apartment block in San Antonio. Callum Marriot, 26, died in the early hours of Sunday morning.
