Expobuceo 2004, an international event on scuba diving, is scheduled from June 29 to July 2 at the Plaza America Conference Center in Varadero. This will no doubt be a perfect setting for tour operators, travel agents, professional and retired divers, scuba aficionados, marine biologists, scientists, underwater shutterbugs, environmentalists and diving students from all around the globe to exchange views and experiences on the topic.

Varadero, Cuba’s premier sun-and-beach destination, will once again welcome diving buffs from every nook and cranny with its breathtaking blue sea, power-thin sands, balmy breeze, gorgeous sea bottoms and peerless conditions for this particular sport.

Attendants to the conference will rivet their attention on such topics as international diving trends and scuba diving multi-destination in the Caribbean through a series of master lectures, round tables and the presentation of several products by local and foreign companies.

The Organizing Committee is planning an underground photo and footage contest entirely centered in Cuba’s sea bottoms. Both national and international applicants should submit their works before April 30, 2004.

Copyrights on all submitted works will be bestowed to the event’s Organizing Committee, the entity that will announce the winners in all categories prior to the event’s opening day. Results will be uploaded on www.cubatravel.cu and winners will be entitled to attend the Expobuceo 2004 event absolutely free and with one companion in tow.
