The world’s finest sea bottoms to pack the 2004 Dive Tour Hall

Beginning next Jan. 31, Madrid’s Crowne Plaza Hotel will host the third edition of the Dive Tour Hall, a one-of-a-kind sample expected to be attended by representatives from top local and international scuba diving destinations.

Over 70 exhibitors –organized by Abando Dive Travel, a wholesaler/retailer specialized in planning trips for scuba diving buffs to any site around the world.

Among the countries showcasing their very best underwater sceneries –including Cuba, this year’s guest nation- are Saudi Arabia, Australia, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Crete, Ecuador, Egypt, Honduras, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Mexico, Papua Guinea, South Africa, Sudan, Santo Tome & Principe, Tahiti and Zanzibar.

Spanish destinations will also be there, and those blessed with the crystal-clearer waters and best underwater flora and wildlife will make the grade to attend the Dive Tour Hall. Among the shoo-ins: the Canary Islands (guest region), Grand Canary, Fuerteventura, El Hierro, Lanzarote, La Palma, Tenerife, Aguilas, Almery, Cabo de Gata Nijar, Cadaques, Columbretes, Denia., Formentera, Gerona, Ibiza, Javea, L¹Estartit, Mar Menor, Mazarron, Minorca and San Jose.

The one-day Dive Tour will gather both professional divers and enthusiasts, young and veteran divers alike in an event that promises to be more than a simple parade of scuba diving destinations.

Visitors to the fair will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the latest breakthroughs in the business: techniques, gears, expeditions, trends, marketing and training.

Sponsored by Spanair, the hall will also feature an array of audiovisual presentations on most of the world’s premiere destinations. And the main course will be the presentation of Tanya Streeter on her first trip ever to Spain. Mrs. Streeter holds the world records in freestyle scuba diving and gearless diving both in women’s and men’s categories.
