Norwegian continues to expand its long-haul network with new direct routes. Starting November 2015, Norwegian will launch a nonstop service between London Gatwick and the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico.

 
 
 

Travel company Sunwing continues to expand its routes in the Caribbean region. The firm announced this week that it would be adding direct flights from Windsor, Ontario to Cancun later this year. The service will launch Dec. 21, according to the company.

Dutch Caribbean carrier InselAir is expanding its service to Venezuela. On Tuesday, the airline launches flights to Puerto Ordaz, its sixth destination in Venezuela. Puerto Ordaz is located at the confluence of the Caroni and Orinoco rivers in Venezuela; it is one of the country’s centers for heavy industry.

Caribbean airline LIAT is nearing completion of its fleet upgrade, which began in 2013. A 68-seat ATR-72 joined the fleet on April 16 after LIAT pilots flew the aircraft from Toulouse, France, to LIAT's Antigua headquarters.
 

Colombia’s national airline, Avianca, has announced that it will increase the frequency of its London to Bogota flight. Passengers wishing to fly from Heathrow to Colombia’s El Dorado International Airport will now have a choice of seven departures a week up from four.

Underscoring its ongoing commitment to serve Mexico’s Bajío region and the state of California, Volaris said it will launch four weekly flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Leon in the state of Guanajuato on June 8.
