Boeing and LATAM Airlines Group celebrated the delivery of the airline's first 787-9 Dreamliner. LATAM Airlines Group is leasing the new airplane from Amsterdam-based lessor AerCap.

Copa Airlines announced Thursday that it would be launching nonstop service four times a week between New Orleans, Louisiana and Panama City. The flights will operate on June 24, 2015. Panama is a major gateway for the Central America and Caribbean region, particularly to destinations on the Caribbean coast of South America like Cartagena and Barranquilla.

Miami International Airport will add its first new international destination of 2015 when Aeromexico begins daily nonstop flights between Miami and Monterrey, Mexico on March 26.

Elizabeth Brown Scotton, chief commercial officer for Sangster International Airport, said she scheduled meeting time with DIA's largest carrier at the Routes Americas conference that is ongoing at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. The conference brings together officials from 283 airports.

Subject to receipt of government operating authority, flights between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Grenada's Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) will begin on June 11, 2015, with a twice weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays.

The island has been without a UK flight since short-lived attempts by Virgin Atlantic and British Airways ended. BA began flying via Antigua in 2011, only to drop the service in April 2013.
