The island of Tobago will be featured on a Carnival Cruise Lines itinerary for the first time, as part of an expanded list of lengthier cruises Carnival will offer in 2015-16.

The voyages are offered on the Carnival Dream, Carnival Glory and Carnival Sunshine which depart from Long Beach, California; Port Canaveral, Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico to more than two dozen tropical destinations including St. Kitts.

With interests already in airlines, space tourism, hotels and trains, the Branson family’s investment group announced that it is partnering with investment firm Bain Capital to form Virgin Cruises, a South Florida-based company that plans to operate two ships.

The company’s Celestyal brand, launched at World Travel Market in London in November, defines the “heavenly” cruises and real Greek experience passengers enjoy when they sail with Celestyal.
