MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia has officially arrived at its new homeport in Miami and begun sailing Caribbean cruises.
MSC Cruises has canceled the first four calls that had been scheduled for paying passengers at its MSC Ocean Cay Marine Reserve in the Bahamas. It said the private island near Bimini is not ready for guests.
A new cruise pier has been completed at Port Zante in the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis. The Caribbean port is now capable of having the three largest cruise ships in the world.
The statement said that MSC hopes to offset its carbon emissions through projects such as restoring ocean and coastal habitats. 
St. Kitts Minister of Tourism the Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant in conjunction with the Ministry of Tourism and the St. Kitts Tourism Authority hosted the FCCA Operations Team on island.
The Carnival Sunrise, the former Carnival Triumph, has arrived in Florida for a winter season of Caribbean cruising.
